Terms of Service

Your account

• You sign in with a code we email you, or with Apple or Google. Keep access to that email secure: whoever can read it can sign in.
• One person per account. You’re responsible for what happens in yours.
• Coaches must be 18 or older. Students must be 13 or older, and students under 18 need a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

Coaches and students

• Coaches add lessons, invite their students, and choose a plan after the free trial.
• Students join by their coach’s invitation, see the lessons their coach adds for them, and ask about them. Students never pay.
• Before recording, a coach must tell everyone who can be heard that the lesson is recorded. The coach must also follow their state’s recording laws. Some states require everyone’s consent.
• A coach confirms they have permission to invite each student, including a parent’s or guardian’s for a student under 18.

Plans and the free trial

• A new coach gets 30 days free, with no card needed.
• After the trial, a paid plan keeps Playback working. Plans and prices are listed at playback.golf/pricing.
• Plans are billed yearly in advance through Stripe, and renew each year until you cancel.
• You can cancel any time in Plan & billing. Your plan then runs to the end of the year you paid for. We don’t refund the rest of a year already paid for.
• Plans are bought on the web. The iPhone app doesn’t sell them.

Your lessons belong to you

You keep ownership of what you add: recordings, files, transcripts and photos. You give us permission to store and process it (transcribe it, index it, answer questions about it) and to show it to the people it’s shared with. That permission is only for running Playback, and it ends when you delete the content.

Ask’s answers

Ask answers from your lessons and points to the moment each answer comes from. Answers can still be wrong or incomplete, so check the cited moment. Playback doesn’t coach: the instruction is your coach’s. Practice within your own limits.

Don’t misuse Playback

Don’t:

• record anyone without the permission the law requires;
• upload content that’s unlawful or isn’t yours to share;
• try to reach other people’s lessons or accounts;
• interfere with the service, or copy or resell it;
• share your account.

Ending your account

• You can delete your account at any time, in the app or by writing to us.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we’ll say why where we can.
• When a coach’s account closes, the lessons they taught go with it. Their students keep their own accounts.

The service, and limits on liability

• We work to keep Playback running, but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Features may change.
• Playback is provided as is.
• As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the state where AimPoint Golf is based, and disputes go to the courts there.

Changes

We’ll post any change to these terms with a new date, and email account holders about significant changes first. Using Playback after a change means you accept it.
